Hello and welcome back to my blog. In today's blog post I am going to be talking about the 3rd day of Christmas! The task we had to do today was create a Christmas tree without copying images or pasting in them so you basically had to make a Christmas tree without copying anything from google. The Christmas tree I made was inspired by the floating one in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Twilight Car Boot Sale!!!!!! (150 WORDS CHALLENGE)

Hello and welcome back to my blog. In today's blog post I am going to be sharing and talking about the Twilight Car Boot Sale at Hay Park School (I go to). At the Car Boot Sale there were a bunch of foods, drinks, juices and clothes! I remember I brought a hot dog also known as a sausage on a piece of bread and a juice. I performed for the Samoan group, in the Samoan group the girls had to wear a green flower lava lava and a white shirt and the boys had to wear the same lava lava but with no shirt and they wore these shaky things that they had to put on their feet. the only thing the girls had to do was the Sasa and the boys also got to do a Samoan dance. After Performing my mum, brothers, cousins and aunty came to pick me up and go home. Altogether I think my performance went really well and I was actually quite confident.

Acting out a Kiwi Kids News Article!!!

Good Afternoon Blogging World!!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. In today's blog post I am going to be talking about a kiwi ids news article that me and some students in my class made. The kiwi kids news article that we chose was the rare truffle sells for 96.000 dollars, I know what you will be thinking, you might be thinking that it is fake or something but it is not, it is actually true. If you don't know what a truffle is well just keep reading because I'm gonna tell you what it is. A truffle is a type of fungus and are usually found in the close association with tree roots. In my group I played the cashier, Gloria (my friend) played a costumer and the other student Marwah (a friend) played another customer. Altogether I think it didn't go as planed because 1 it was really short and 2 we didn't speak as much.

Hello and welcome back to my blog. In today's blog post I am going to be predicting what will happen in the birthday party that Bradley got invited by Colleen (Melinda's Best friend). So Bradley got invited to Colleens birthday party and he's frustrated because in his past (3rd grade) he got invited to a birthday party and ruined it, by smashing the cake because he was angry because there was no more chairs for him to sit because they were all taken. What I will predict that will happen at the party is that Bradley will get Colleen a shower curtain because Carla got one and that probably gave him idea to get one for Colleen I also predict that when he sees Melinda (Colleens Best friend) he will go and say sorry to her for making trouble on chapter 14 (The fight scene). When he get's back from the party he will feel happy and be nice to everyone and Carla, Jeff and him (Bradley) will be best friends for ever!

OUR WORKOUT!!!!!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. In today's blog post I am going to be talking about our Workout! So first things first we had to get with a partner and name yourselves either A or B. My partner was Gloria and Gabriella, the reason why I had to be with them is because my other partner Mekilini, was gone to take a girl Fehi to the office because she sprat her ankle.

The activities we did was Running in the first round, than the second round we had to do 25 push ups, 50 sit ups and 100 squats. Me and my buddies were running around the whole field, while we were running my buddy got tired and started to walk the rest but I walked too but with her that the rest I jogged because we didn't wanna get embarrassed for being the last one. After running we had to do 25 push ups, I did the 25 push ups while they do 50 sit ups, after all of that we had to go back to class and some people didn't because they wanted to go for another run.

Our Author Presentation (150 WORDS!!)

Hello and welcome back to my blog in today's blog post I am going to be sharing with you guys a video of our author presentation. Yesterday My class and I were doing a presentation based on a author, our author was Dr. Seuss. Dr. Seuss is a author that wrote books like Cat in the hat, Fox in Socks, Horton hears a who, Green eggs and ham and lastly The Lorax.

 In his family he has 2 step kids named Tony and Melissa Miller, they are born from the mother Elizabeth Florence Dawson, he also has a ex wife named Helen Palmer and his secret wife Audrey Stone Diamond known as a film producer. In my group there was Ina, Fatima, Mose and me, Ina is the girl on the left, Mose is the boy in the middle and I was the girl on the right, by the way Fatima wasn't here. The reason why we did this is to find out some information about the author (Dr. Seuss) so that we could learn more and practice our presentation skills! Our average score was about 21/25.

 Something I would like to improve is probably making sure everyone is talking clear and louder but altogether I think it went amazing although I was a bit nervous.

150 WORDS CHALLENGE!!!!!!!

Hello and welcome back to my blog. In today's blog post I am going to be doing a challenge that my teacher told me to do which was the 150 word CHALLENGE!!! So what you had to do is write about a photo that has to have 150 words in it, you can do over 150 words but you can't do less that that amount of words.

 In this photo you can see me at the back just standing, if you are wondering why am I just standing there is because we had to do squats and I already knew that I would be embarrassed because you had to go all the way down and then get back up, this made me feel uncomfortable and weird because everybody in front of me were telling me to do it but like I said I didn't want to do it.

So after the squats we had to do some burpies, if you don't know what burpies are they are when you stand up and then go down as fast as you can and then get back up, I know it doesen't show in this picture but you can imagine me doing it. When I was doing it I kept falling down because it was a  really hot day.

 All together, my workout I think it went pretty horrible because most of the stuff I did was really nothing to be honest.

What's in The News This Week?

Hello and welcome back to my Blog. In today's blog post I'm going to be talking about a kiwi kids new Article called Indonesian Plane Crash! This Story is about a plane that crashed in the sea shortly taking off from the Indonesian Capital, Jakarta.

1 Interesting fact about this news article is that there were 188 people on board and most of them didn't survive, it says that most of the people on board drowned and died.

The news were pretty sad although it was kinda boring because I didn't know a couple of words, but altogether it was a very sad and interesting story to hear about.

1 new word I learned was authorities, this word means the power to determine and adjudicate, or other wise settle their issues or disputes.

Was it worth reading? I think it was probably in the middle because, like I said I don't know any words and it was kinda boring but altogether it was a really good article.

Today I found a news article about The World’s Expensive Ice cream Sundae! This Ice Cream Sundae is Super Expensive, It cost 60,000 dollars. It would probably take about 5 years to save up that amount of money.

This is article was about a Ice Cream Sundae that was very expensive and was only sold in California, America.

The main message was that this is a very expensive Ice Cream Sundae, It Costs 60,000 dollars.

Why I think this is in Kiwi Kids news is that the Coupony which is called Three Twins Ice Cream wanted to share it with the World.

This took place in California, America on September the 4th 2018.

Our Assembly!!!

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Intro: Thursday 9th August, 2018, 9am. In the school hall (Haypark). First Assembly of the term, Danced and sang to the song Wake up with the whole school.

On Thursday the 9th of August 2018, me and my class (Parekowhai) hosted our first extraordinary  assembly of the term! We did it in our school hall at 9am on Thursday. I was very shy and nervous because I was standing in front of the whole entire school which was like so big that I didn’t even want to smile and look at them. Some people in my class speaked and some of them watched and sat on the seats. We were showcasing all our work that we did on our blogs, some of the work we did at home and of coarse school.

After that we sang the National Anthem with the whole school which was very loud, than Ina and Kanishka did the silent sit down sign. After Ina and Kanishka did the silent Sit down it was our time to do a dance which was called the wake up song which was presented from Mrs Rai and we also asked the audience (All Haypark Students) to feel free to join the actions and sing with us.

Next Ina and Fehi Told Miss Campbell to come and present out the Class Awards which were presented to a couple of haypark students. When Miss Campbell handed out all the certificates it was time for the some of the students from our class to do the speeches which was very scary because we had to present in front of the school.

After Miss Campbell handed out the Class Awards it was time for us to do our speeches. First It was a girl Called Mandita.

Mandita was going to be talking about why her bestfriends came to her house. She said that her bestfriends cam to her house because they wanted to have a playdate and spend some time together, and she also said that she watched tv until her mum came home from work and said that he mum finishes at 7:00.

Than up next was a boy called Simon, Simon talked and shared us a kiwi kids news article about a dog that can do CPR. He talked about a dog that did CPR on a police man when he was knocked out. He said that CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Next Kanishka said that it was time for Me and my friend Gloria to go up and talk about our bad habits that we actually posted on our blogs. My bad habit was biting my nails because I had no control over them. Biting my nails were so addicting that I actually wished if I never really had nails. My friend Gloria’s bad habit was going sleep at night too late. She said that she goes sleep around 9:30 - (to) 10:00.

After me and Gloria it was time for a boy called Mose and Zion. Sadly Zion wasn’t here so only Mose talked. Mose talked about a turtle dying. He said it that it died because it found plastic and twine then ate it. He also said that you should never throw plastic or any kind of rubbish in the sea before sea creatures would start dying.

After Mose it time for a boy called patrick. He talked about his youtube recommendation. He was talking about why do we get goosebumps from the amazing channel called SciShow Kids. You know when you have goosebumps is when you have little tiny bumps on your arms or legs also animals could get it too.

So that was all for the assembly. When the assembly was finished we put back the wake up song and danced again then we just went back to class.

Bad habits

Hello bloggers,

Hi my name is Rhia and today I am going to be talking about bad Habits. Everyone has a bad habit but some can have the same ones, for an example picking your nose and eating it, gaming, chatting, sleeping in too much, not listening and even biting your nails. Bad habits are things that you do that are very addicting  that you can’t stop doing. In class we had to sit in a circle and tell one of our bad habits. My bad habit is biting my nails, biting my nails have been really hard for me to stop doing, sometimes I wish if I never had nails, for an example if someone went to the toilet and did their business and didn’t wash their hands and just touched the door handle you might have to go to the toilet and you might touch the door handle that the person touched and than you could get germs.

Firstly biting your nails are very disgusting and gross  because 1 you don’t know what you have been touching all day long and 2 you might have sneezed on your hands and not wash your hands.  Did you know that if you don’t wash your hands you can get bacteria which are little tiny creatures that live inside your nails which can actually make you very sick, and also if you just came back from gardening or something you could actually get dirt or mud in your nails which don’t really feel good and they can leave brown stains.

I feel like quitting it because it  distracts me from listening to the teacher on the mat and it also makes me kinda lazy.

Why is biting your nails a bad habit?

So why I think biting my nails are a bad habit is because you could accidentally swallow the long part and it could actually hurt your  throat bad that you might have to go to the hospital or the doctors and it could leave a scar which doesn't really look as nice.

In my opinion I say that you should always wash your hands when you have done something especially the TOILETS and always trim your nails so that mud, dirt, bacteria and germs don’t get in them!

This Article is about a Canadian farmer in Ontario kept a McDonald's meal for six years which was in 2012. This farmer says that the urban legend is true, McDonald's food doesn't get Rotten or mouldy. He has kept his McDonald's cheeseburger and fries from June 7th 2012 and puts his food experiment for sale on eBay.

So one day I had to stay at my Aunt's House because my Mum had to go and stay at my baby brothers Nana's house. So when I got to my Aunt's house my cousins were already sleeping, I was like why are they sleeping, than my aunt said they are sleeping because they just came back from somewhere. I was so bored because I had nobody to play with, the only thing that would make me fell not bored is my Chromebook. So I went on my Chromebook and I just forgot that I left my charger at my house because I was doing other things, so I just went for a nap next to them.

Hello and welcome, in today is a very sad day because it is the last day of the term. In today's blog post Me, my Class and Room 8 went to the Flying Fox Park, and we also got to wear mufti. At the park people played on the Flying Fox, Spinning Wheel, Swing, Climbing Rope, Spinning bowl and some of them even climbed the trees. I Had lot's of fun playing on The Spinning wheel and the swing, my friend Gloria waited for a really long time trying to get a turn on the Swing that she only had a little bit of time!

Titanic Diagram!

Hello and welcome back to my Blog, in Today's Blog post I am going to be talking about my work that I am most proud of this term! So in class this term we have been learning about the Titanic Ship, We all did a diagram that showed us labels of what made the Titanic so Luxury. The Titanic set sail   from Southampton heading to New York, It was made in 1912 14th April.
















I am proud to present this work because I put a lot of effort into making this and it kinda took a little bit longer than I expected because I had to set up the boat.

So what we had to do is our teacher gave us some questions that we had to find out researching. She gave us to research a Italian Cheese called Casu Marzu. It's a dangerous cheese that has a disgusting ingredient in it, I'll give you a clue what it starts with, it starts with the letter M. Have you guessed it if you haven't here it is MAGGOTS!!!
When I found out this Cheese had maggots I was so creeped out and never wanted to try it in my whole entire life.

Me and My class have been reading this funny story called There's a boy in the girls bathroom. There is this girl called Colleen, she is having a birthday party and she wants to invite this boy called Jeff because she likes him a lot. Jeff is a new boy that accidentally went in the girls bathroom. This is My Invitation that I made For Colleen's Birthday Party to Jeff, I put a lot of effort of decorating this.

What I liked about my work is that it is very decorated and maybe next time I could do it on slides.
