Our Assembly!!!

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Intro: Thursday 9th August, 2018, 9am. In the school hall (Haypark). First Assembly of the term, Danced and sang to the song Wake up with the whole school.

On Thursday the 9th of August 2018, me and my class (Parekowhai) hosted our first extraordinary  assembly of the term! We did it in our school hall at 9am on Thursday. I was very shy and nervous because I was standing in front of the whole entire school which was like so big that I didn’t even want to smile and look at them. Some people in my class speaked and some of them watched and sat on the seats. We were showcasing all our work that we did on our blogs, some of the work we did at home and of coarse school.

After that we sang the National Anthem with the whole school which was very loud, than Ina and Kanishka did the silent sit down sign. After Ina and Kanishka did the silent Sit down it was our time to do a dance which was called the wake up song which was presented from Mrs Rai and we also asked the audience (All Haypark Students) to feel free to join the actions and sing with us.

Next Ina and Fehi Told Miss Campbell to come and present out the Class Awards which were presented to a couple of haypark students. When Miss Campbell handed out all the certificates it was time for the some of the students from our class to do the speeches which was very scary because we had to present in front of the school.

After Miss Campbell handed out the Class Awards it was time for us to do our speeches. First It was a girl Called Mandita.

Mandita was going to be talking about why her bestfriends came to her house. She said that her bestfriends cam to her house because they wanted to have a playdate and spend some time together, and she also said that she watched tv until her mum came home from work and said that he mum finishes at 7:00.

Than up next was a boy called Simon, Simon talked and shared us a kiwi kids news article about a dog that can do CPR. He talked about a dog that did CPR on a police man when he was knocked out. He said that CPR stands for cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Next Kanishka said that it was time for Me and my friend Gloria to go up and talk about our bad habits that we actually posted on our blogs. My bad habit was biting my nails because I had no control over them. Biting my nails were so addicting that I actually wished if I never really had nails. My friend Gloria’s bad habit was going sleep at night too late. She said that she goes sleep around 9:30 - (to) 10:00.

After me and Gloria it was time for a boy called Mose and Zion. Sadly Zion wasn’t here so only Mose talked. Mose talked about a turtle dying. He said it that it died because it found plastic and twine then ate it. He also said that you should never throw plastic or any kind of rubbish in the sea before sea creatures would start dying.

After Mose it time for a boy called patrick. He talked about his youtube recommendation. He was talking about why do we get goosebumps from the amazing channel called SciShow Kids. You know when you have goosebumps is when you have little tiny bumps on your arms or legs also animals could get it too.

So that was all for the assembly. When the assembly was finished we put back the wake up song and danced again then we just went back to class.
